INTEGRATED HORN FOR

MAXIMUM COVERAGE

The high frequencies are perfectly controlled by the specifically designed embedded aluminum horn and phase plug. This component guarantees optimal directivity and conical high frequency dispersion. Depending on the model the HX230 range can perfectly cover angles between 100° (12” and 10” sizes) and 110° (8” size).

By design a “coax” is the combination of two loudspeakers in a single unit. The expectation is that of providing a powerful, compact, full range solution that will give an accurate audio experience. The HX230 series has proved its worth in this demanding market segment and has become a preferred choice for many professional audio applications.

DUAL HYBRID

MAGNET ASSEMBLY

The HX230 series shares the same magnet assembly concept. The combination of using a FEM optimized ferrite magnet structure for the woofer section and a dedicated, also FEM optimized, neodymium magnet for the compression driver provides the designer with an excellent trade off in terms of size, weight and price. In addition each unit incorporates a dedicated aluminium demodulation ring reducing the harmonic and intermodulation distortion to the lowest levels.

Technical Overview

The HX230 series offers a complete range of coaxial loudspeakers spanning from 8 to 12 inches in diameter. They all share design concepts such as combined 2-magnet technology (ferrite and neodymium) magnets, 2- voice coil technology woofer 65 mm and compression driver 37mm and aluminum basket structures. Embedded, Custom design high frequency horn and phase plug and overall solid design, all add to make this high performing, scalable series reliable and practical.

Suggested Applications

The HX230 series is yet another example of FaitalPRO’s consolidate experience in designing and building coaxial speakers. Attention to detail is fundamental, a coax needs to be compact, lightweight and at the same time robust enough to withstand the natural “abuse” of live concert situation… without forgetting the need to have a product that sounds good!

A coax speaker has quite a number of possible applications, its natural habit can be on a concert stage as a monitor or “wedge” or in MI cabinets.. It is a versatile product and gives excellent results in other professional audio applications such as fixed installations ranging from cinema’s to stadiums.
